Well done to the choir, soloists, orchestra, director and committee members for two wonderful concerts!
About the choir
The St Paul Choral Society (SPCS) is one of Malta's leading polyphonic choirs, with a repertoire ranging from the 16th century to the present day.
The tickets for the 500 places available for our Mozart concert at St John's on 11 November were all booked in the space of just two days! In view of such heavy popular demand, and thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, a repeat performance will be held the day after, on 12 November, at the Divine Mercy Sanctuary in Naxxar! Do you enjoy singing? If so, why not join us? You don’t have to have a soloist’s voice to sing in a good choir. Enjoying singing and having a good ear for music is what you need. Being able to read music helps but isn’t essential. We provide members with practice materials. Our choir is now in its twentieth year. During 2016 we presented 12 musical events. Our repertoire spans five centuries; we choose music that is a pleasure for us to sing and for our audiences to hear. We presently have space for Basses, Tenors and high Sopranos. If you’re aged between 13 and 65, love good music, and can dedicate two hours every Wednesday evening for our rehearsal together, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with our choir director, Hugo Agius Muscat, either through this Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/StPaulChoralSociety/ or by calling or messaging him on 79705692.
