Professor Wirth is a noted world authority on vocal training. He received his first musical education as a chorister of the Vienna Boys Choir. He went on to study piano, oboe, and vocal music at the Bruckner Conservatory in Linz. In 1998 he returned to the venue of his early musical education – the Vienna Boys Choir – where he was appointed Artistic Director in 2001, and President of this renowned institution in 2013. He holds vocal training workshops all over the world for choristers and often works with music teachers.

This workshop was in line with the choir’s policy of engaging vocal teachers to improve the choristers’ singing technique.

The SPCS is most grateful to the management of Hilton Malta who have most generously offered to host this event on 16 February, with the venue, food and drinks being provided free of charge.  

This was an enriching and highly instructive initiative for SPCS Choristers.
